The Honey Factory

How well does lemon balm work as a swarm attractant?

I don't have Prime, so yeah, I have to pay shipping on Amazon too.

Most of the time I cheat by throwing a couple packages of cat food/cat litter in with whatever I’m ordering until I get to the free shipping mark. Same goes for the pet supply places and any other sites that have free shipping past a certain pricepoint and sell both something I want and cat food. :D

Happy 4th of July!!!

We have autumn olive all over. We have 25 acres, so I don't care. We'll cut out any that become an issue, and still have lots left for the bees. I'm pretty sure it only blooms once a year here. I see tiny little berries on it now, about this size: O

The girls are really busy on the basswood though! :)
The second reason why i will always keep some of the Autumn Olive shrubs it that the ducks love their berries. And its fun to watch the "mighty" drakes stretching their whole bodies as high as possible to snatch some berries.

I should have taken a video this spring of the robin jumping 2' to 3' in the air to grab juniper berries.
