From where did you got that variety? - Am trying to buy this, but always seem to slow because they sell out quickly. The two shrubs that i have are a red variant. And here, i have already digested the two bowls of gooseberry harvest from this year - late May…
I got this one from Invicta Gooseberry. They are out of season currently. You have to be careful where you order Invicta from as there are unscrupulous outfits selling plants that are not Invicta by claiming that they turn red when fully ripe which is a total lie. When completely ripe, they get a yellow tint to them. They do not taste like any other gooseberry with some hint of Kiwis in the taste.

Other places I would buy them from are Raintree Nursery and Burnt Ridge Nursery. They are out of stock now. I order in December or January.

And there it is, the old HillBilly problem that's plaguing me since 2018:

Here in WV the ribes-ban is county decision and it is still illegal to own them in 23 out of 55 counties:

And because that is too complicated all nurseries won't send currant or gooseberry plants to West Virginia.
Those, that i have, are from a reckless seller on eBay who didn't care and is no longer in business.

Everything we have is 8 frame, because the used stuff we bought to begin with was 8. I'm glad, due to the weight.

The president of our bee club runs all medium boxes for the same reason, because he messed up his shoulder in an accident.

I wish TSC sold some 8 frame equipment. It just means that any time I need something from Mann Lake (or whomever), I order a couple other things so that I'm not ordering just one thing.
It’s ridiculously heavy with a bad shoulder or not.
