So I rebated a swarm trap a few days ago and have bees now . It was the one I caught a swarm in so smelled like a hive . Rebaited 2 more today and put some melted bees wax on the back wall . Smells good . I saw some bees checking one out . Took a video and shared it on a Facebook group . At a loss on how to share it here . Any help ?

You have to post it on a video site such as YouTube and then you can link it here. Once you have a URL for it, it is as simple as pasting the URL in your reply.

Yup not worth a fly . Of course that is from the days when they did not feed . Back when dad kept bees no one heard of swarm traps either .

Circles I hang with say ‘feed the crap out of them with pollen patties so they are strong enough for winter’

Some of my best hives have been late swarms. Just have to give them every opportunity to succeed.

yeah, I would boost it up too... and worst case scenario you can always combine it with your other hive if it doesn’t build up enough by fall... still a good catch no matter the month

Some of my best hives have been late swarms. Just have to give them every opportunity to succeed.

Yeah, there is still lots of time to get them built up... I’ve never caught a late swarm, so I’ll be excited to hear how it goes.

But I‘ve poured feed to spring package bees, from July on in the past, to get them where they needed to be when they didn’t build well enough up till that point.
