When your horses have high skills, they end up in competitions against really good horses. Which means that unless your horse is truly elite, winning becomes pretty difficult.
The top breeders are very good at making the horses they're training win, so you're probably losing to those horses a lot.

That's not entirely true, I get about 10,000 a day from covering my horses. I only have 4 studs I put up ..The strategy only works with new breeds. It'll never work with Arabians, Friesians, or pretty much anything else. Only Curlies work at the moment.
