Does anyone know of a seller of show quality Blue Andalusian chicks?
To be specific, I prefer not splash or any color other than blue.
I know the blue chicks are fairly true to color at hatch.

Or am I just going to have to take my chances with a hatchery? Is there a hatchery that is known for better B. Andalusians?

Hi there, I'm no help as to breeders in the US as I'm in the UK but I want to say that they are lovely birds to keep. I had two blue boys and they were both absolute charmers and so beautiful to have around in the garden. They are very gentle and friendly but very flighty and they have problems with frost-bite on their combs & wattles in cold weather Good luck with your search--I'm going to hatch some come spring if my "Little Hen" will do her bit for the cause.

Thanks TerriLaChicks. I wasn't sure where to post this question and that may have been a better choice. I will certainly have a look at those stickies.

My area gets pretty cold but mostly deep snow. I know that I'll need to give the combs/wattles extra care but I think it's worth it. I saw some gorgeous Blue girls at our county fair and couldn't quit looking at them.
Well, I have some flighty girls in my flock so a few more won't upset me, lol! I admit I was surprised at first.

I hope your Little Hen comes through for you!

i got some BA from McMurray this last year.. was very upset.. out of 18 chicks only 3 grew up to be blue.. most were black, a few splash..

i got some blue cochins from IDEAL all of them were blue xcept, 2 black and 2 white/splash(out of 20)

Superior Farms has some excellent blue Andalusians. You can order chicks or eggs this coming spring.

The birds in the link posted by erin are alright, but a good Andalusian should have good lacing as well. Plus, the white in the tail makes me nervous...makes me wonder how her offspring will turn out.
