hello a Canadian hunter/fishermen/trapper here.

just got back from setting up our bear hunting camp. going this weekend to go for a few days of black bear hunting.

i like fishing for burbot in the winter and pike/walleye in the summer (plus don't mind hitting a few trout waters with the fly rod)

but i hunt waterfowl, upland game birds, bear, elk, moose, deer, plus lots of other things.

That’s cool. Got any good stories?

My brother said boars are becoming a growing nuance.

Maybe hunters will start earning for every boar they shoot .

I use to do more hunting ,but as a tradition I always keep a 22 above my doorway. Or That's the excuse I tell people any way. The barrel gets a shining during hunting season. One time I hit deer in my garden with it. That was a well placed shot. Their were 6 of them hanging around feeding on what was left over from the fall harvest.

Recently I was out mowing my 10acre and spotted 3 fawns. I almost hit a young one .

You shoot at deer with a .22? Can you shoot spikers or does in OHIO? In Ca you can’t shoot does or spikes.

Hey egghead77 do you have a lot of Eurasian collared Doves in FL? That’s where they first came to in America from the Bahamas. I have so many where I live and would shoot them with a shotgun if my neighbor weren’t terrified of guns so I shoot em with a pellet gun. Also I have neighbors on the sides so I could only shoot at the back of the property. Actually the Eurasians breasts are twice the size of mournings breasts and I have some in the freezer now.

i wouldnt really know... i had to google it as i've never even hear of it before... as far is i know we just have turtle dove and just plain dove... closer to the beach theres a lot of morning dove too.... im gonna do a bit more research on that collared dove in a sec...
