In the Photo, all green. I looked at the depth of some of our locall lakes like shasta aren’t clear, but tahoe it is said you can see 120feet , most clear lakes ain’t that deep

That beats Lake Superior. I think 90 feet is the clearest it gets, but some spots on the south shore are less than 2 ft.

I think it’s about 50 ft where the fish came from. The ice looks green because of its thickness and the depth. I will try to get a better picture next time.


To me that clarity is amazing as most our inland lakes are 10 ft or less because of tannin or iron.

As I recall the deepest spot in Lake Superior is 1400 ft.

But it’s way bigger than Lake Tahoe so..

We’re building a new kayak/gear trailer and heading to reelfoot lake for first fishing trip on March 24th-28th!!!! Was planning to pull out the boat and get it cleaned up and ready, but the river flooded here last week so we put it off until after the reelfoot trip.
