Finally had a nice enough day for grilling.

Walked the three large blocks of woods around our place in the past week looking for turkey sign since the season opens in 3 weeks. Not a trace of a bird anywhere yet. If you happen to see a large flock of turkeys flying over, please send them my way!

Got bored last week and installed legs on my turkey seat so I'd have a nice backrest if I wasn't against a tree.

Then I got more bored and ordered a turkey vest that has them built in.

anyone getting ready for spring hunting season? its like 5 days till our bear season opens up here, only got like 4 feet of snow left where i hunt. so most likely heading up in a few weeks.

snow goose season is also open, yet to see one this year.

oh and can not forget about spring beaver trapping/hunting.

I heard the turkey population in Georgia is way down. Not sure why.

I would say the population is down here in Ontario as well. I think there are too many coons which can cut into the hatch rate pretty heavily.

In other news, I hope to decrease the population by two this spring.
I bought a vinyl wrap kit for $20 to try on this shotgun. It's typically my coyote gun, but has seen some turkey action in the past.

Nice tom. What did he have for hooks? It's so difficult to hunt a 3+ yr old. Their hooks aren't as visible as a older bucks antlers.
Just put this cam out the other day. Got some options..
