Sad day.

My neighbor found one of our two outside cats curled up between his house and his motorcycle, dead.

No blood or marks of any kind.
We think she either froze or was poisoned.

We had been taking both outside cats in over night on the real cold nights, but she had been missing for a couple of days, which we thought nothing of because she would go on hunting forays at times and be gone over night.

She was hands down the best hunter we ever had.

Once she killed 3 squirells, 5 chipmonks, a rabbit and two birds within 24 hours, to feed to her kittens.

She and the other cat were almost inseperable.

Many times they would walk shoulder to shoulder.

The male has been searching for her, and looks very bedraggled, I'm very worried about him.

I'm sorry Rooster, I know your pain too well. It's hard for a cat when he or she loses a mate/friend, they bond much closer than humans do I think. It's been almost a month since I lost JoJo and Mozart is just now starting to come around a bit. Pay a lot of attention to your kitty, he's going to need you right now.

I feel your pain - Abbey lost one of her pups today - so I am right there with you.

I am very sorry you lost your girl, please keep an eye on the male - he will be lost without her for awhile
