The huntress died *UPDATE*

Oh! I am so sorry!

I'm so sorry. It's hard to lose a beloved pet. We lost one of our cats about two weeks ago - shortly after moving. He was a great hunter also and loved to stay in woods all night. He went into the woods here and never returned. I still look and call for him every day hoping he just got lost.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Same exact thing happened to my Rowdy. The neighbors called her "Red Death" Fastest little booger you ever saw, and she could jump so high that the neighbor gave up trying to raise his bird feeder high enough.

It was heart wrenching when I lost her. No sign of anything. Just curled up under a neighbors rose bush and died. It was warm out, so there was no worry about freezing. Then her son Jimmy died a year or so later, same way. I think one of the neighbors was poisoning them.

I just feel for you. It's horrible

Sorry to hear of your loss. We had one go missing last summer and found her curled up under a trailer just like she was sleeping. In our case she was an old cat and I think she just died in her sleep.

Sorry for your loss Rooster Red. I don't think she froze as my friend Denise has outdoor cats and they always find somewhere to keep warm even in Mich winters. Maybe she got into some poison meat-many people still lay out poisons to rid pest (ie rats and mice and such), maybe she got sick eating some of these poisoned pests. Did you keep any of her kittens? It always sad to see a animal friend mourn . Anyway she was a beautiful cat.
