The huntress died *UPDATE*

Sorry for your loss! I have a barn cat, and two house cats; once my barn cat is gone, I don't think I'll have any more outside ones. Too worried they'll get the chickens.

Your girl was sure pretty! Is that her boyfriend to the right in the one pic? If so, he looks like a Maine Coon cat! VERY pretty!

Yeah, He was her life long best buddy.

He is now coming inside and staying over night, becoming a semi-house cat.

When she was alive you had to lock him inside after dragging him in.

He stopped eating for 2 days, but now he is eating again.

Oh my gosh... that just sucks. I hate when cats die mysteriously. I really hope she wasn't poisoned.

I have a male that looks nearly exactly like your female, but he has more white on his belly and his eyes are a darker orange-yellow.

UPDATE:
We burried Goldies lifelong buddy Biscuit today.

He's the other cat in the pic on page one.

He pined for Goldie for the last 4 months, and no matter what we did, even keeping him in the house with our other cats, He just never got over her.

He died of anemia even though we tried force feeding, vitamins, everything... He just gave up.

I've never in my life seen two cats that where close like this, their love for each other was fantastic.

They are burried side by side now, and I hope they are together again somewhere.

I'm so sorry...

You did everything right and every thing you could. People say that animals cannot feel real emotion... obviously they do.

RIP

I had bonded ferrets once. One was ill and had been ill for a while. He died around the first part of the year. The other boy had been absolutely healthy. He died less than three months later. I am convinced that he died of a broken heart. He certainly grieved those last three months. It was heartbreaking.
I think the scientists that say animals don't feel emotions have clearly never been around any for any length of time. All of my critters have had very distinct and strong emotions!

Again, I am so, so sorry about your kitties.
