The inevitable humidity question, day before lockdown, help please!

She did it!!!.....Blue shell passed down, am pretty darn sure it's hers, haven't been watching today.
8 eggs today, highest count since mid august.
BCMxCCL color is fading.....after 36 eggs.

I found 2 BCM eggs inside the coop yesterday and one on the ground outside today.
I had put curtains on the new nest box, so I took them off. Maybe she will use it tomorrow

It's nice and dark, and she laid again yesterday, but they are more of a greenish brown than Olive....CCL blue is just not as blue as I'd hoped.

Now that's blue.. nice BCM's too, speckles!! Who laid those blue eggs, I want her in my flock!!

I haven’t gotten another light BCM egg like that first one, but I still can’t decide if I have one layer or two. Several of them look like they could be laying. I know I have at least 2 CLs laying because I’ve gotten 2 eggs on two different days. I bought 4 of my 5 pullet CLs as day-olds when I only hatched one pullet and my one male. That breeder told me he started with GFF lines, I didn’t really care, I just needed more to go with my pair. But I’m super happy with them.

Same here but.....very pale blue...with greenish tint.

Beautiful eggs ladies! WV, those blues are wonderful, my CCL does not produce quite like that, well you've seen her egg. aart that olive is like my eggs but mine still seem to vary every now and then. I'd like to get to a more avocado green somehow. There is a woman on ebay who sells cuckoo bluebar eggs and in her blurb about them she has a picture of a bright green/avocado speckled egg that is quite beautiful but who knows.

I think a good 'strong blue' shell is needed for the basis of any OE project.

Pale blue eggs give 'khaki' rather than 'olive'....tho of course color can be subjective and fickle to photograph and view via computer.

The assumed line up of layers.....
2, maybe 3, CCL....coming on stronger on this last week

I like them!
I got 3 CL eggs today!
One was small and darker, with a slightly greenish hue.
So that’s 3 of my 5 CLs laying, and I got one BCM egg (8 girls). It is nice and dark though.
