"The invasion" i guess they are pests?

Well things escalated today and i lost Brad Paisley to the invasion today. He lost a fight and was tore up bad. :'( no more free ranging for a while for my girls.

He showed up today!!! Brad was indeed pretty beat up but he seems to have survived!! I let him back into my pen this morning and he seemed super grateful for food and fresh water.
His comb and waddles have blood spots all over but nothing fresh so that looks like a good sign right?
They are all still on lock down until i speak to the proper authorities though.

Update on the invasion...

Its cold so I'm being compassionate/lazy about my chicken problem.

I did put out my extra nesting boxes in my garden and have seen the neighbor hens checking it out so maybe i can get some random eggs..

But since its so cold mine have been staying penned most of this time. Brad Paisley is doing great and only has the scabs on his comb and ive been giving him and my 2 hens scrambled eggs or oatmeal just to bump up their protein.

Im really a softy and dont mind the extra lawn ornaments too much i guess...

We shall see what Its like come spring though.

Nothing to report really lol. Its been cold so i have only let them out if im there. One rooster came over and looked like he wanted to start something yesterday i think so i went flying at him like a wild crazy thing and he went away for the rest of the day haha...

Lookie Lookie what i found today! The invasion has started paying me for the food they steal!

I was in my house and heard a rooster going crazy with a call that wasnt a distress call so i walked out back in time to see one of the roos cheering on an invasion hen with egg song so i scored her 3 eggs. Lol YAY
