Hello all!
I spent three hours this morning moving six (very angry) birds and one huge hutch up and down two stories to get them into the basement. They are all set up now, and speckles even popped out an egg after being back in her hutch. Working on setting up some light sources because there aren’t any windows. Will also be sweeping a LOT more! anyone else quarantined as well? care to commiserate?

In central TN where I am (Putnum County) we have no reported cases of Coronavirus yet. We are prepared if we have to go on lockdown. We have plenty of food and water for the wife and I. We get a dozen eggs a day from our girls. We have 200 lbs of layer crumbles and 100 lbs of scratch grains. (please don't accuse me of hoarding!) and 55 lbs of chick starter crumbles. 200 lbs of dogfood. We have no mandatory lockdown orders here. But we are going to stop eating out and going to the movies for a few months until we can see where this pandemic is heading.

You know what keeps me going? Baby chicks! My babies were hatched today and should be here tomorrow or next. So very nice to have this to focus on as anxiety is kind of my thing. Also trying to get my college-aged kids home... UMN (Minnesota) is closed, but they both have jobs to wrap up... we’re all just waiting to see what happens next and hoping they have a chance to book-it home.
