The khaki-Campbell duck Thread !!!!!!!!

I have a Runt! She was this little thing when I got her, and then there was one of the guys. She looked sickly but she pulled through. This was early March. In early May I bought two girls and they're still larger than Runt (Hershey and Skittles). So Runt keeps her name. On the flip side, she produces lovely eggs!

quarantine was the smartest thing you did, and everyone should do this with ANY new animal. If possible keep them off the same ground for 2 weeks. If not possible and something happens to a newby, better keep others isolated longer. If it's one animal and dies in that 2 weeks, you better AG, or barn lime the place well, wet it into the ground, and do it again, before letting your stock back in that area. Even cattle if not from same area.

This is Lucas. I'm not going to sugar coat it, he's sometimes a handful! Does anyone have this problem, he swims away or runs/waddle away from me and/or flaps his wings at me to get away? :he He is almost 7 months now, is this just a phase. I have a Cayuga female and she is always walking towards me, eating lettuce out of my hand or stare at me, she's always interacting with me, him not so much. :barnie I've read khaki campbells are a nervous breed, is this that case?
