Thanks for your condolences. I've done got him buried and his headstone in place temporarily. A couple months ago my wife stayed crying and I asked her what was wrong, she said she was worried some of her babies (ones she hand raised) were getting old and gonna die. So I got a sack of concrete and made a little headstone for the future. Now I just gotta chisel his name into it.
Maybe I'm just getting old and soft, but I've sat out there by his grave crying and doing shots of shine. He was a good bird far as birds go. Out of about the 35 roosters I have now, He was my Lil Buddy.![]()
Your not getting soft, you're human. We're get attached to these wonderful animals. Here I am holding my dearest hen Daisy who was my best hen. She would jump in my lap every time I went out to the yard and sat down. I cried like a baby when she finally passed. It's healthy. I am so sorry for your loss. It is not easy.
