Astur didn't stir when the Nameless One came into the room. He merely sat on a black velvet settee that was pushed up against the wall and gazed a a black rose that was in his hand. He twirled it in between his fingers. He sighed and stood up. He assumed that The Nameless One's presence meant that the girl was outside. He strode on his slender legs over to the door and opened it silently. No one was there. His eyebrows creased slightly, until he heard slight breathing from the floor. His gaze traveled slowly downward, until it fell upon the girl. She was slumped on the floor, eyes closed. She looked so beautiful and innocent. His stomach felt the same unfamiliar twisting feeling he had felt before. He pushed it out of his mind once again, if only for the present. He scooped her up in his arms almost lovingly and gazed into her sleeping face. He couldn't find one flaw; her skin was a perfect, even, milky white and her long eyelashes that rested on her cheeks contrasted beautifully. He ripped his gaze away with much difficulty and tried to control his breathing which had curiously become faster and shorter. He strode down the hall and took a right into a surprisingly sunny hall:
He walked down it until he reached the second door on the left. He opened the door, holding the girl against his chest with one hand. It opened into a beautiful, small, not even creepy, room:
which had a balcony which looked onto a beautiful rose garden. He walked in and layed her down on the plush white comforter. He cracked open the window, letting in the scent of roses and fresh air come into the room. He turned and his eyes fell once again on her. He was strangely drawn to her. He watched as her chest rose and fell rhythmically, her eyelids flutter as she dreamed. He allowed his eyes to travel up and down the length of her body, from her full red lips, to her tiny waist, to her full hips, and finally down to her small feet which were still encased in her riding boots. Following a strong urge he was feeling, he gently pushed a stray brown lock out of her face, but drew his hand back quickly, as if had been burned, when his hand made contact with her skin. He spun on his heel, walked quickly out of the room, and didn't look back.
