Good morning!
No eggs yesterday, so I'm having grilled cheese on sourdough for breakfast.
Thank you all for being so generous with the stories about your life. Our lives are so different!
Micah, that was quite a gamut of both jobs and living space. Even considering the changing in houses, it was extreme. And the idea that you had the *emotional* space of living on a huge ranch, then reduced to an apartment. Yikes! No wonder you felt a little crazy.
Boo, so tell me, did people come into the card shop and mess things up on purpose?
I always wondered if that was only by accident, or if there were gremlins....
Jena, I didn't know you were a nurse. Funny things happen in our life and change us forever. I ended up tuning pianos because I had broken my arm, and needed something to do during rehab. You know jeaucamom is a nurse, and I was a nurse back in the 90's. I knew there was more we had in common than just sons, knitting, and an old house. Cool!
Linda, again, great to hear from you! And please do take pics of all those fabulous chickens. We are waiting for your post.
Noncentzer, I envision you next to mountains of potatoes. 100 lb bags? I could lift those for a few seconds.

No wonder you have such a tolerance for the snakes in the coop. They're nothing compared to the jaws of an alligator.
Now, I have what would be considered by many to be a conventional job. Music teacher. How quaint.
Visions of my own music teacher run through my head. I remember them pushing the piano and their little cart of cymbals and woodblocks down the halls. Oh my! While much of that remains true, my job becomes unconventional the moment I have to jump in my car and drive to the next school. I always feel like I am on an episode of The Amazing Race.
I'm working today, in fact. Mostly, the day is about conducting the Honors Chorus (ages 11-14). We have a district-wide arts festival next weekend. I need to get hopping. The chickens need clean water this morning, and then a few errands before I have to be there.
I'll post another note when I get back.

Hi Luna! Great to see you!
Had a fun morning today...
Woke up at 6ish to hubby saying i had to get up right away that their was a puddle of blood in the rabbit room....
He broke out of his cage last night and cut his heel pretty badly... I cant believe that he didnt bleed out last night...
Hoping that we wont need a vet for it to heal.... I put betadine on it..but i'm afraid to wrap it,because he'll chew the bandage off... but if i leave it open..it'll get infected..
so...
Then..we had to go to the town rabies clinic this morning at 8..and stand in line with barking, snarling, whining dogs..
one dog behind us wanted to fight with my saint bernard, Duke..and the idiot people kept letting their dog get in nipping distance to him..and they thought it was funny and that their dog was cute..... I almost let my dog eat theirs..
but alas..Duke is too much a gentleman..he just yawned and kinda did this>>
to the other dog...
OOh and it was raining the whole time we had to stand in line outside... we ALL came home covered in mud...
next is doggie bath time.... *sigh*
So whos cooking dinner tonight??

What we get, you get about a week later. We have perfectly blue skies, with no wind. Too bad I have to work.
Red, how about super glue? Or just keep antibiotic ointment on it.
Dinner here is more leftover lasagna. Might be time to freeze it. I'll appreciate it more later on. Tamales sound better.
