OM gosh for once an easy one!!!!! I have no grass, it's the desert after all, but with spring coming, we are overrun with wild verbena and mustard plants, desert daisies, Yucca flowers on the Joshua trees, wild clover, etc. The desert is GORGEOUS in the spring time!!!! OH WAIT!!! I have a pic or two...

Thanks!! I really love the desert, almost all the time. I could live without the three months of intense heat, but the rest of the year really makes up for it.

Oh.. I can't wait to post pics tomorrow. I have an orchard on the back of my house with mandarin and apple and fig and persimmons and we have so many flower bushes and shrubs and cherry trees. And we have a lower pasture and we have a stream (ok.. it is an NID ditch, but a stream sounds much prettier!!). I love the peice of land I was on. I am praying to God that we never have to move from here, I truly love this place so much.

And we have a place for a garden, but I didn't plant one last year and it is so over grown now, I am not sure how to find the dirt LOL.

Well I'm boring I guess. I'm pretty proud of my beautiful crop of Bermuda grass. My dad was always semi-obsessed with growing grass in his sandy, pine-tree covered lot where I grew up, always putting down limestone and planting Kentucky Fescue seeds......so I'm rather happy with my "grows by itself, practically impossible to kill" grass!!!!

What do I like most about my yard or garden?...
The yard is big...big enough for the kids to have a great safe time in!
The garden is pretty and the vegetable garden gives my family food.
The fruit trees, vines, bushes give the whole family sweet treats, either eaten fresh or cooked.

What I don't like about my yard or garden...
lots of work!

I like my 3/4 acre yard. I also have the bermuda grass, hard for thee animals to kill. We can play, ride bikes, horses, chickens can scratch and never worry about killing the lawn!!

Anyone in the Monterey area this weekend, you can go to the radio fest in Fort Ord this weekend.

Well..right at this moment,i cant think of anything i enjoy about my yard... it's destroyed from my animals...
Cant have any flowers..chickens eat and tear them all up.... the grass wont grow very well..the geese eat it all.... and my pigs have made big pot holes in it.

But.. well..i guess there IS something that i enjoy about my yard... its being able to go out there and enjoy all my animals...

YAHOOOOOO I am going to get my Salmon Favorelles after all. They were the chicks that I was especially looking forward to and they were the only ones NOT to come in. And I can't find them anywhere else. The feed store just said their hatch date is the 29 so they will be here the 30th. I really didn't want to do the whole introduction thing.... but for my SF I certainly will!!!!
