"You know how when you just flop on your bed and think, 'I'm just going to take a short nap' and then when you wake up it's 2 hours later?" Does this happen to you?
I normally don't take naps, because if I do, I won't be able to go to sleep that night. A few weeks ago I did take a nap on a weeknight cuz I was just so tired. I laid down at 4:30PM and our dogs were barking and woke me up and I saw that it was 6:30. I got out of bed, wondering why I'd laid down in my clothes, and stumbled out to the kitchen where I saw my wife at the kitchen sink. I wondered what she was doing up so early since she's a night owl...then I remembered that I was still in my clothes and that it was not 6:30AM, but PM. It was quite disconcerting for awhile.
ETA - Oh yeah, I was able to sleep quite well that night!!
I'm trying to get my chicken tractor going here today. I wanted to make it out of a cattle panel, like Opa had suggested. However, I just talked to my feed store, and they want more than $80 for the new heavy-duty panel. Ouch! I will have to do something else. I think I could use remesh, and it would be much cheaper. Now, I just need to get my dimensions figured out. I wish building it was as easy as sketching it.

It seems that our "spring cleaning" has always involved outside work...
This year hubby has to finish building a shed for storage... then..once he gets that built..he has to clean out the entire cellar and transfer the stuff to said shed...
then... he needs to make another dog run/pen for the dogs in the back yard..and tear down the one we just built last year... and this all has to be done in a couple of weeks...If you saw our cellar mess...
One thing I have learned since DH retired is that it is nice to take a nap any time, if we sleep too long we just stay up later. If we stay up all night we sleep all day. Eventually we have to do something or go somewhere that puts us back on track.
Note#17 - What is the highest mountain you've ever climbed?
Well, when I was a teenager, I went to Montana to visit my sister. While there I went to Glacier National Park. We hiked up the mountain. It wasn't really climbing, but we were up in some altitude. Now I am not sure how high it was or what it is called. But it was cool, and there were mountain goats on the trail.
My sister no longer lives in MT, she's in Martinez!
