Ruby gulped. How the heck were they supposed to deal with this? She tried to remember all she knew about the animals who seemed to compose this creature. Didn't they have bad eyesight or something? But their smell made up for it? She dove down and aimed a few shots at its' nose before swooping up.

Man, this thing is fast! Nessa zoomed behind a rock formation, and the creature thundered past her hiding place.

Camp was it in sight, Rayne could see it now. She saw it stop and look up for them. What was supposedly the head of a T-rex lashed at the air with its teeth, hungry for fresh blood. What now? Rayne thought in panic.

Nessa aimed and fired. Her bullet entered the monster just behind its head, at the base of its neck.

Rexy howled in pain as the bullet entered his neck. He thrashed his eight legs around, angrily yelping. He swung his massive tail around as he looked for his attacker.

Ruby dove upwards as the massive, convoluted thing swung its tail around. "Watch out!" she called to Rayne.

(BTW, that bullet is basically a pill filled with a VERY lethal poison. )

Rexy roared again, slightly less loudly, then stumbled the the left, then the right, before beginning a long fall to the Venus.(I was going to say to the earth, but...)
