Nessa murmured in agreement and followed Rayne.

Rayne felt uneasy as they trekked over Venus' surface. They reached an outcrop when Rayne stopped. "There's something watching us," she murmured.

"Yeah. This doesn't seem right." Nessa said, nervously floating her hoverboard closer to Rayne.

A figure moved behind them into sight. It was huge and bulky, and certainly not human. Whether it was machine or organic, Rayne could not tell, and she pulled Nessa behind a boulder out of its sight.
"What the heck was that?" she breathed rapidly.

Nessa's breath was coming fast. "Um, I have no idea, but whatever it is it's massive!"
She said, taking the safety off of her gun.

The creature let out a roar and took a huge step toward them. Rayne had no weapon herself, all the supplies had been left at camp. Panting, she stayed closer to Nessa, hoping that it would leave...

Nessa was shaking with fear, but she managed to step toward it, her gun ready. Then she had a sudden thought. What if we're in its territory? "Rayne, do you think we're in its territory?! It probably thinks we're threatening it!" If aliens even have territory.
