The man and Elliot answered"$146,000". Elliot had been saving for years, and had a tiny bit more than that, so he could buy the house completely without having to pay the bank anything. He looked to Tamara with a questioning look that said "We'll take it?"

Tamara nodded. She had no idea how much money Elliot had so she trusted him with the decision.

Elliot looked to the man, and replied "I'll take i...we'll take it." He shook his hand, then walked out the door to leave with Tamara. He grabbed her hand and sighed "This is going to be perfect."

Tamara squeezed his hand and nodded dreamily. "Just imagine...." she said. She looked at Elliot. "Our kids could grow up there...." she knew there was only one bedroom but they could make one of the other rooms a bedroom.

Elliot squeezed her hand back. He whispered "And it'll be safe. We're way out. They would be safe."
