**The Last Spark** A Magic RP

Lincoln listened to Luka and then nodded. Two men came up and stood ready to take the woman from him to put her in a containment room. "Very good, while I would have preferred both I am happy we were able to get at least her. Hand her over and they will take her to containment and find her a room. Go wait in my office for debriefing." He said as he gestured for Luka to hand her over to the other men.

(On a side note do we want to try and convince her to join their side, or do we want her to be one of those that is experimented on?)
Luka nodded, but hesitated before handing her to one of Gideon's henchmen. He commented quietly as he turned to leave "Don't run too many tests on her."

(The plan is that she will eventually fall for Luka who then convinces her to join his side. Then the two might run away down the line, but that's far away.)
Jade blinked and looked blearily up at the men who held her now, frowning in confusion. The adrenaline helped to push the fog away and let her have enough strength to push away from the man who held her. She screamed in fear, though her legs were not as awake as her mind had already gotten, so she ended up sitting on the floor, cringing back from them all. The usual questions spilled out now that she was aware, "Who are you? Where am I?"

Luka dipped his head as he left, his heart feeling compassion for the first time in years for Jade.

"That is not your call nor your concern." Lincoln said flatly to Luka as he walked away. He turned to follow after Jade and the men who had when she began to wake up. He swore softly under his breath as she pushed away from her captors. He put on his best calm face and approached Jade where she sat on the ground. "You are safe, you are in a safe government facility. We have been trying to find mages to get them off the streets and keep them safe from the hostility of life on the streets. These men will take you to a room where you can wake up and we will answer all your questions. I am Lincoln by the way." He added and gestured for one of the men to slowly go and help her up.

"I-I don't understand. Why did you take me from the store?" Jade asked, looking to Lincoln now even as she scooted back to the wall. She honestly didn't understand, given that she had basically raised herself until Ara's family had found her. "What do you want? Why did you bring me here? I was safe enough. Where's my friend? ARA?" She screamed the name, causing a small tremor around herself. That tremor made her jump then shut her eyes and curl up into a ball, counting aloud to calm herself as Ara had taught her.

Lincoln didn't want to have to tranquilizer her but he would if he needed to. He crouched down in front of her so he was on her level. "we took you from the store because we wanted to keep you safe. If we had approached you and asked you to come with us you would have run. You know how hateful people can be when they find out what you are and what you can do. We want to protect you from that, like we do the other mages who have come to live here. We were sadly not able to bring your friend here, but we are hoping that when you calm down and see how nice it is here that we can go get her with you. I am going to need you to calm down though, I don't think you want to hurt the dozens of people in this building." He said soothingly giving her information that would hopefully tell her what she wanted to here.

Jade blinked then wiped her eyes and looked to him again, frowning "Why do you think I would have run had you talked to me? What hateful people are you talking about?" She asked then used the wall to stand up "I don't understand you, I just want to go back home. Ara wouldn't bring me to a dangerous place. She said we could be safe." She looked at the two men then back to Lincoln once more. No, she didn't want to hurt people, but she lost control sometimes, she had only just started learning past the growing of food and making shelter after all.

History: She was born an ordinary person to a single mother that lover her very much. She was given her powers by a mage who had been attacked by the AMS and was dying. She was only 13 years old and had been walking home from school. The mage had gone so far as to apologize to her when he passed his powers on to her. She had no idea what had happened, and although she felt different she had no idea that she was now a mage. for a short time she lived on as if nothing changed. Then one day she got upset at another girl when her mother came to pick her up from school. The overwhelming emotions caused her new powers to surface and a great storm was called. Her mother tried to protect her from the other people who know knew what she was and wanted to hurt her. Unable to control it she ended up killing her mother and severely wounding several other people. She was terrified and ran, she lived on the streets as far away from people as she could for several years. When she heard about the government she attempted to contact them and eventually they came and got her. She went willingly, she was scared of being around people, she was scared of herself. Under her demand they kept her heavily drugged until she could cope and deal with her powers. Lincoln developed a genuine friendship and protectiveness of her, given her horrible story. She is there happily and always wants to bring others to their cause.

Lincoln sighed he didn't want to have to resort to less desirable methods, it was so much easier when they went willingly. He had one last card to play, he looked to one of the men and asked them to run and find Lyla. "I figured you would run because that is what people do when they are scared and don't understand. And I am talking about the Anti-mage group, they've been making a big deal about how much they dislike your kind. They have many kills under their belts already. I understand your fear, but this really is to keep you safe." he said as he bought the time needed for Lyla to get there. He felt a gust of wind as she ran up behind him, before the wind died down.

Lyla looked to Lincoln with a smile, "I heard you needed me here fast." She said as she then looked to the scared woman leaning against the wall and understood why. Now the tremor that shook the building made sense, they had brought in the earth mage they had been tracking. She wished she had been the one sent to bring them in, she often had good success just talking to them, but she had another assignment. She looked to the woman with a friendly smile. "Hi I'm Lyla, air mage at your service."

Jade gasped and took a step away from the air mage when she showed up so suddenly. She had been calming down, but that just made her heart speed up again. This time her fear turned to anger though as she looked back to Lincoln again "I don't know anything about this anti-mage group or you people, whoever you are. I don't want to be here, I want to go home." She noticed the way that other male, Luka, was going and turned to head that way since it seemed to be the way out. It was better than just standing there, right? Her steps faltered though, he was the one with the cold grip that had carried her in here. He wouldn't let her walk out, would he? She didn't know enough about 'human' ways to know for certain. "I don't know whatever war thing this is, and I don't care, just leave me out of it."
