Jade looked to him again, frowning when he just stood there, staring at his hands. She didn't know what he was thinking or anything, so she got up, going to him to touch his hand gently again. "Are you alright?"
Luka lied, replying "Yeah I'm fine." He tried changing the subject, asking quickly "Would you like some water? Or anything else to drink or eat?"
Iris listened to her story attentively, studying her for signs of any lies. She nodded, replying with a smile after she decided her story was legitimate, "No that's fine. No worries, I just was looking for some berries here." She decided not to tell her that her house wasn't far away, not sure if she had malign feelings towards mages or not.
"I could eat again, the tree took a lot of energy." Jade said then shrugged. "Think I could go out of this room?"
Luka nodded, extremely content that she didn't bring up his soft side. It was his biggest insecurity, and felt miserable knowing he blocked it out completely at times. He held the door open for her.
Jade was glad to get out of the room, though she looked around the hall nervously as if expecting that girl or the guy to come by and knock her out again, as well as not knowing which way to go from here.
Luka took her arm softly and turned her the other way, beginning to walk with her. Luka decided it was best to not reach for her hand, he was convinced he was done with affection.
Jade looked to him as she walked beside him and smiled a little. Yeah, here he was thinking he couldn't be kind, while he was being kind.
Luka walked with her into the government dining hall, which was rather elegant. He walked her to the buffet, allowing her to take whatever she wanted. He wouldn't judge, he just stood back and looked around.
