Niko, eyes wide, looked at Wolf in curiosity, "W-who?" He mumbled.

Wolf looked at Niko then put a paw on his shoulder "I know you will be the next Leader of this pack when I die. I want you to lead these wolves" he said with a smile.

Wolf nodded "I want you to be the next Leader of this pack when I die, but before I do. I want to teach you what I know, what I've learned over the years. I want you to be able to provide for this huge pack, help those who need it and protect those who are close to you" he said

"You'll learn new attacks, better ways to hunt and even something only I know about. A place I learned that I was meant to be a leader" he said with a smile "We begin tomorrow" he said then turned and went to leave.

Niko nodded before Wolf left. Once he was out of sight he smiled to himself. He slowly walked back to his den to get a good nights rest for tomorrow.

*Before Wolf awakes*
Niko woke up relatively early. He hurried out to do his business and go to eat a quick breakfast and get a drink. He ran out past the creek, to the meadow. He ran up on a group of pheasants and scattered them in all different directions. As one flew up, Niko caught it in mid-air. It was a fair sized bird, but would need more. He quickly ate the bird and left the feathers and bones. He went sniffing around and smelled a rabbit. He followed the trail and was immediately on it. He did a quick break if the neck and ate it. Again, leaving bones. He quickly made his way back to the creek to get a nourishing drink of cold water.

*Before Wolf awakes*

Niko lapped up what seemed like a gallon of water. With water dripping from his jawl he ran back to his den.
