Pictures are often hard to go by because colors sometimes don't show true. To me in these pics provided, on my screen, she looks to have white earlobes, I cant see any green.
It would be so interesting if they were green -- because remember when they used to say that earlobes were an indication of egg color -- white earlobes - white eggs, and red earlobes brown eggs - with some exceptions. If they did have a green tint - it could be related to color of eggs. -- just taking a guess out of the wild blue yonder for that one. --Yep, I thought you might see it like that, lol. In real life, they almost looked light neon green this am.
If I had a good camera I think it would capture it. I really don't think I am color blind, lol.
My daughter has two hens of this same stock and she commented last week that the earlobes on
her hens was a light green. I told her I thought that was impossible, as they are to be white.
Looked at my hens the other day and was shocked to see they really were green! I had to tell her
she was right on.
Well, we will see if they change to white as they go along.....
Thx
Or maybe you will have the bluest eggs from those two - because they have so much extra pigment that they can store some in their earlobes. ;O) It will be so interesting when you let us know.Interesting about that color app. I have an old fashioned flip phone, lol, but my daughter has the 'smart' phone. I will see if she can accomplish that.
Actually, out of the three Cl hens. One has the white or cream earlobe, and the other two have the almost chartreuse green. So I may not have blue
eggs from those two. This is going to be interesting......
Pictures please!I got 4 chicks from a breeders breeding trio, my 2 little cockerels are therefore half brothers or brothers. They're 6 days old and one has feathered out as much as my 2 girls and the other one has much much smaller wing feathers and hardly any visible tail feather growthHas anyone else had this happen, is it genetic or is he just a runt?![]()
