The Legbar Thread!

Pics
They are about 6 weeks old and so far they seem pretty friendly and docile!

Wow, I was expecting them to show a bit more of the buff looking color. I guess they go through quite the transformation as they mature.

Congrats on your pair!

Put me on your list for eggs when your pullet starts to lay!

I love my Cream Legbars. Here in Wales I got mine for 18 pounds each. Yours will go down over time. Some people report they are aggressive but my two are a dream. Friendly and follow me round my garden wanting any bugs I can unearth. Mine are 18 weeks old, so no eggs yet, but I am looking forward to them blue eggs.

I found out today that we will be getting a pair in October! Cant wait. October is going to take sooo long to get her though!

I am about to put a deposit down on mine. Should be getting them in mid october. I will be selling eggs so anyone wanting eggs i will contact when i can confirm the eggs are fertile.

Don't know if you will get them in mid October if you haven't paid or put a deposit down yet. Their website says the available date for them is 11/1/11. Jenny might be able to work something out for you though. I have found her to be great to work with. Good luck!

We also plan on making fertile eggs available to those interested. Shipping will be available for our fertile eggs. We also plan on selling day olds and juveniles to those within driving distance of us.

since they are auto sex will you be selling one day olds as pairs. if not what are you going to do with all the roos. I will be getting mine in sept. cant wait.

Wow, I'm assuming that the reason they are so expensive across the pond is the shipping? The most expensive I have seen them over here is £40 a pair.

I'd like to know a bit more about the breed though - I've heard that they can be pretty noisy.
