Sorry! My parents don't LET ME!! There is nothing I can do! Write them a letter or something, but I can't do anything. I guess if you convince them, I can do more.

Chapter Twenty two

I fell asleep on my perch on the way to wherever I was going. On the other side of the bumpy moving thing, was the young female human, still crying.
Finally, we arrived at a building I've never seen before. I woke up when the thing stopped moving.
The people got out of the car, and picked up my cage. I scrambled around my perch sleepily.
We went into the building through a door that moved by itself. Inside, everything was white. It was weird.
The humans walked up to a very tall wooden thing with another person sitting behind it.
"Hello," The adult human said, "We're here to see your avian vet."
"Yes, well, do you have an appointment?"
"I'm afraid not, our bird is very sick, there wasn't time," She replyed, "Besides, we just want to know the price to cure our bird."
The human behind the wooden thing leaned over to look at me.
"I'm afraid a bird in that condition requires immediant medical care that would cost at least $500," He said grimly.
"Ok, little miss," She said to her daughter, "We can't afford that, so we're going home, NOW."
"But..." she sobbed.
"Wait," The other human interrupted, "That bird must see the vet."
"But we can't!"
"Wait here," He said, and left.
In a few minutes, he came back with another male human, "That bird WILL see the vet," He demanded, "We'll talk prices later."
"Oh, thank you!" The little girl sounded so happy. Her mom, not so much.
They carried my cage into another room.
A person dressed in white came to greet us.
"Do they have an appointment?" He asked.
"No, but they say it's an," He paused, "Emergancy."
He looked at me, "Oh, I see that it is."
I stared at him.
"Let us begin."
