Chapter Thirty Seven
I only just noticed a box thing attached to our cage. I went in to explore, but found myself having to poop.
I tried to push it out, but this poop was very strange. It was hard, and very big.
I pushed and pushed, and it finally came out. I looked at it, and gasped. I had layed an egg.
"Clouds!!!!" I frantically flapped out of the box, freaked out.
I woke him up, too.
"What?" He asked, annoyed.
"I just layed an egg," I said as if I've seen a ghost.
"Relax, it won't hatch."
"How do you know?" I demanded.
"It's not fertilized. We haven't mated or anything."
"What, are we supposed to?" I was even more freaked out now.
"I guess."
I gulped, and edged away.
"Come on, let's just get it over with."
He had a point. I edged back.
He climbed on me.
I yelped, and flew off. I clung to the bars of the cage.
"Come on! Get it over with!"
I went back slowely.
He climbed on me again.
When it was done, I went back to the box thing, and hid from all the other budgies thinking I was a weirdo.
I was still freaked, but pushed my egg out, because it was infertile anyways.
It smashed on the ground. I couldn't look at it.
This was probably the weirdest day of my life.
