So now, the deal with me was that I had to stay in the box and sit on eggs all day.
Wonderful.
Clouds just won't help out. He keeps saying stuff about it being "For the girls".
I think he's just lazy.
The human sometimes looks at our eggs. I'm not very mad about that, as long as he doesn't touch them.
So I was sitting on eggs, having nothing to do, when this gigantic hand came swooping down. I quickly scrambled out of the box, and onto my perch, watching what the human would do.
The human opened the box, and TOOK THE EGGS OUT.
I was mad. I screeched at him, I flew at him, and screeched more.
It was no use, he took them away.
Clouds didn't seem to care.
"Relax," He told me.
"How can I relax when that human has the eggs? They'll get cold!"
"Calm down. You'll see what'll happen soon enough."
What happened was that the human put the eggs back, but only after scratching them with a piece of wood.
I angrily settled down on them again.
And this human calls himself a "breeder"!
I looked at my eggs. They were scratched.
I had three now, and all three were scratched.
"I hate you!" I called to the humans.
He didn't seem to hear.
"You are an evil being!!" I screeched even louder.
He ignored me again.
Muttering to myself, I settled on my eggs, closed my eyes, and hoped for the best.
I laid my last egg today, egg number six. I'm sitting on them contently, dozing.
Clouds was a pretty good feeder, so good, that I didn't have to eat anything else.
Suddenly, the human came into the room.
"Not again!" I moaned, and protected the yet unscratched eggs.
He chased me out of the box. How rude!
I glared at him as he took my eggs out again, and scratched them with the wooden thing.
He finally put my eggs back.
"About time!" I screeched at him.
He laughed.
"You're a good parent, Apple." He told me.
Whatever he said, I don't think I liked it. If a budgie can frown, I frowned at him.
Crawling back into the box, I sat on my eggs again.
Humans were so annoying.
"I HATE YOU!!!" I screeched one final time before closing my eyes.
"Hey, wake up!" I opened my eyes to see Clouds perching on the entrance of the box.
"You're almost squashing that egg over there."
"Oh, I am?" I looked, and moved, so that I wouldn't be.
"Hungry?"
"Yeah."
Clouds fed me for the third time today.
"So when are these eggs hatching?" I asked.
"The first will hatch in about 15 days from now."
"Oh. Ok," I chirped, disappointed that I had to wait so long, "See ya."
