Chapter Fifty Seven

I had trouble falling asleep that night, and even when I did, my dreams were filled with a mysterious blue budgie. Was it the source of my troubles? Who can it be?
I looked into the very back of my mind.
Sky.
I had never gotten over the fact that I had left him in the middle of a fight, and I had never been able to say goodbye.
I must find him.
I would never really be happy if I don't.
Finally, I was able to fall into a restless sleep. I think the other budgies would be glad they weren't very near me that night. I couldn't stop fidgeting.
I was so relieved when the rosy red sun rose.
I breathed deeply.
It was summer.
I found an edge that wasn't very sturdy, and began to chew.
"What are you doing?" A budgie I didn't know asked me curiously.
"I have to go." I managed to chirp in between my bites.
"Why? Everyone's given up on the flock thing."
"They have?" I suddenly stopped chewing.
"Yeah." He replied
"Oh." I chirped, and resumed.
"Ok," He wasn't sure what to do, "See you."
"Bye."
A strong gust of wind suddenly blew, and almost knocked me off my perch, but I narrowed my eyes, straightened my feathers, and kept chewing.
This was for Sky.
As I chewed, I thought. Should I tell the other budgies?
No, they'll only try to stop me.
How was I going to find Sky?
I really didn't know.
My beak was numb. The wire was getting thinner. The wind was blowing more and more.
But I have to do this.
