I woke up, my gizzard so empty, it felt like I was digesting myself.
With the last bit of strength I had, I flew up to get a bird's eye view of the area.
I FINALLY found a bird feeder. It took a minute getting to it, and when I was there, I almost fell off the perch there.
I started eating, but just then, a human rushed out of the house staring at me.
I fluttered to the tree tops where I wouldn't be easily seen.
The human looked at the tree to see where I've gone, but soon gave up, and went back in.
I carefully flew back down, and ate until my crop seemed to burst from my skin.
With great difficulty, I flew up again.
Today was a weird day. I started by being the hungriest I've ever been, and just then, I ate the most I've ever eaten.
I continued on my journey until I became thirsty, so I found a small puddle.
I swooped down to the edge of the puddle, delicately sipped a few drops, then hopped in, and fluttered the water over my feathers, bathing.
I took off again. I flew for a while.
Today is probably the day I will get there.
When I finally saw the familiar house, I flew down to it, and like Clouds taught me, banged and chirped at the window.
Soon, the girl saw me, and opened the window with shock on her face.
"Apple?" She wondered. She picked me up.
I chirped at her.
"I'm sorry I gave you away."
I looked at her, trying to communicate.
"Are you looking for Sky?"
I chirped again.
"He's not here anymore."
Where was Sky?
I hopped down from her hand to look for him.
I ran as fast as I could, and looked everywhere.
"I had to give him away, too," The girl said, following me.
Where could Sky be?
