Chapter 31
There was that darned rat again! But he had a buddy! And his buddy was huge! I screamed and ran to a tree and up it. Could rats climb trees? I was gonna take that as a yes because they were coming after me.
I waited till they got closer to me and I flew down. I almost plopped over because I couldn't really fly in this rain.
They snarled and rushed to me. When they got to me I tried to dig my claws into them, but that didn't work. The buddy got on top of me and they were both going for my neck. I struggled and pushed him off me. He got mad and attacked me again. I flew up and landed on his back, then I dug my claws into him hard. He was a little affected by it, but he still fought.
He got on me once more and was going after my neck again.
This was the end of me.... I couldn't do anything anymore. I was a helpless, little chicken.
The rat was strong and I was weak.
All the sudden he was pushed off me and he left a scratch on my crop.
This is it then. I don't know how he got pushed off me, but I knew it was the end of me. My eyes were fluttering. I tried to see what's going on, but everything was so blury.
"Whaaaa...." My tongue wasn't working. I could barely speak.
My eyes closed and everything went black.
