During the commotion, the two figures slipped from the room, unseen behind the flying rocks.

The dragon crashed through the walls, sending up huge clouds of dust.

 

[TechnoCat]

"After them!" Shaherii called, sending several Thanators flying over her head and chasing the two. The dragon did the same, sending puffs of dust billowing into the other dragon's eyes.

 

[HollyBird24]

The two figures disappeared into a hole in the wall too small for the thanators to follow.

The dragon blew a hot stream of blue fire from his mouth, knocking the thanators, Shaherri and Darkus backwards and several lithe shapes whisked after the figures.

 

[TechnoCat]

Shaherii let out a ill-tempered snarl. "Viperwolves! Go!" She called, the viperwolves (small versions of Thanators) sliding into the hole that the figures disappeared to.

The two figures had disappeared into the labyrinth of cracks that were appearing in the castle walls. With a sudden crash, a large rock fell down from above right behind the two figures as they fled, preventing the viperwolves from following them any further.

 

[TechnoCat]

The viperwolves snarled. They let out a howl, then more poured into the rock. They all pushed against the rock, moving it a little. There was a small dent from the wall to the floor. The viperwolves crawled through the dent, then resumed chasing the figures.

By the time they had gotten past the rock, both figures had vanished.

The viperwolves churred, then relyed on scent.

The scent was confusing to follow, and snaked in all different directions. It became apparent that there were more then two of them in the tunnels ahead.

 

[TechnoCat]

The viperwolves grew confused, but the lead viperwolf sent them in different directions, three following each trail.
