Splash ran over to the egg that was hatching. "Well, Minerva you should probably sit on it so that it survives then! I'll go get some damp moss." Splash ran out of her burrow to find some damp moss to help the chick not dry up.
"O-oh." Minerva said. "Ripple, I should probably... Well you know. Sit on the eggs?"
“Of course.” He said.
Splash ran back in with some damp moss. She put it by the egg that was hatching.
Minerva gingerly sat on the eggs. She rolled the pipped egg in front of her and peeked it out just so Ripple and her could watch. "Ripple, have you ever seen an egg hatch?"
“Yes.” He said.
