"What are you thinking?" Eerie said.Ruby nodded again. She stepped out of the burrow. She walked a little ways away from the burrow just in case he woke up. (Is it still the middle of the night?)
Ruby shrugged. "I don't know. He must've either been jealous or overprotective." She said plainly."What are you thinking?" Eerie said.
“Yeah…but it’s not really his business, don’t you think?” She said.Ruby shrugged. "I don't know. He must've either been jealous or overprotective." She said plainly.
"Yeah. I just wish I hadn't taught him to be so protective of her." She said sadly. She couldn't help but feel like it was partly her fault.“Yeah…but it’s not really his business, don’t you think?” She said.
“It’s not your fault. I’m sure it won’t happen again.”"Yeah. I just wish I hadn't taught him to be so protective of her." She said sadly. She couldn't help but feel like it was partly her fault.
"I sure hope not." She said. "I wonder how Cherry is doing. Should we go check silently?" She asked.“It’s not your fault. I’m sure it won’t happen again.”
Eerie nodded and walked over. She could make out Cherry in the dim light, cozy in a layered nest of soft brown feathers and moss. Eagle sure knew how to make a comfy nest, she thought."I sure hope not." She said. "I wonder how Cherry is doing. Should we go check silently?" She asked.
She turned to Ruby. “They look fine.”Eerie nodded and walked over. She could make out Cherry in the dim light, cozy in a layered nest of soft brown feathers and moss. Eagle sure knew how to make a comfy nest, she thought.
Eagle was snoozing a respectful distance back, tucked into a nook a lot like the one in her daughter’s burrow.
