Connor thought he heard his brother yelling at someone. He couldn't get off of the eggs though. "Hey, Flower. I think my brother's yelling for some reason. Could you peek out of the burrow and see? If not, it's perfectly fine." He whispered.

"I guess it's just not meant to be." She said softly.
Flower, feeling better, poked out her head. She winced. "He's yelling at Mist because she rejected him."
"I guess so." He said softer. "And there I was, thinking there was at least a slight chance you would've loved me back. But, nope. No possible way." He said in the same soft voice.
"Oof. That's too bad. He really loved her too. He told me all about how he loved her so much. And how he hoped that she loved him back." He said.
"Not what I said." She chuckled despite herself.
"She does. So I'm not sure what's happening.
"Pretty much what you're trying to say." He mumbled.
"Oh. I guess maybe you should watch or something."
"You're already gone." She whispered. "You're already gone. You already hate me."
