My father was a great hunter and we ate what he killed. That being said, I do not ever want to eat raccoon or possum!! I have eaten quail, pheasant, squirrel, rabbits, deer, some type of dove, snapping turtle (taste like chicken and pork).... but no desire for coon!!!
Well, neither one looked as though they had been nursing. But if I had to guess, I would say the first was male, and the 2nd was female. The 2nd one was desperately trying to get out. Chewing the 2x4's and literally shredding and digging holes under and around the cage. I couldn't believe the damage!! The first one couldn't have cared less!
chicks4kids PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE create a BYC page with the pics and the information on the design and how it was built so we can add it to the site. It would be a great addition to the predator section!
If that's agreeable, please let me know if you need any help and/or let me know when it is ready and I'll link it.

I will. Thank you. It will take me some time. I'm not as computer literate as my husband, but I will definitely give it a try. As soon as I get it done, I will let you know. And if I need help, I will absolutely call on you!!
You'll see that you can simply copy and paste from your forum posts on this thread... it makes it SUPER easy and makes it so you don't have to retype anything or enter the images again.
Still working on the web page for this trap. Been super busy...garden and new chicks, new pens, kids, etc.
We caught a cat last night, a stray, crazy wild stray and it tried to escape. His head got stuck literally in the wire. By the time I woke up he had begun to "ring" his neck-know this from the blood. Not bad, but enough for my husband to give me the go ahead on cutting the wire. So, I cut the wire, just one snip, and out that tiny hole, he wriggled the rest of his crazy snarly self through.
My point...if you make one of these, consider the size wire you use. Now we have to put on new wire around the door...hope he doesn't do this again...he may not be so lucky...
