I also have a black eng orp with a crooked neck....hatched that way. Also seems fine...just slow growing. Probaly about months old but looks 5 weeks.

I also have hatched eggs running out my ears for super blue egg layers.... maybe about 5 doz. Just pm me if you want to come get some......i have some blue and reg barred rocks. They are not old....but too old to ship and i cant hatche anymore this week. I just set 150 eggs.

Some of you know my daughter has had it rough this last year, and I wante to update that she's having more good days now. Regained use of her right hand, and in the terrible 2s. :) She's so in love with our chickens

hi all :)

I am new to this forum but hope to become a "regular" I live in Shelbyville , and we are in Murfreesboro quite often my husband still works there and that's where we both grew up .

I am asking here because I am hoping someone might be in my town and know more first hand , or even tell me where to look to get the right answers .

apparently the old lady who lives behind us , has gone to our other neighbors with a petition about our chickens ( 6 chickens , 2 bantams , 3 red sex links and 1 white leghorn ) they are in a small coop ( 3x4 ) and their attached run is 4x6 , they also have access to a chicken tractor that is 8ftx3ft that we park in other places in the yard .. it's really the smallest set up we were comfortable making for them , we live in town . her back yard butts against ours , we are quite people we do have kids but they are young so nothing crazy. I just wantt o make sure i have everything in order so that if this escalates I can be prepared. I don't know if i should kinda laugh it off and hope she is bothered enough by it to put a fence up and save us the work and money , or be concerned she's gonna make me have to get rid of my chickens

we just bought the house in March and got the chickens in april and they just mid may have been outside full time

I have sent an email to one of your city officials asking what the codes or zoning ordnance is on chickens inside city limits. I did so under the pretence that I might move to shelbyville. I'll pass along what ever info I gather from the email. Oh & welcome to the site.
