The Middle Tennessee Thread

Got a few pictures today while the layer flock was "helping" me clean the Turkey pen.

Anyone knowledgeable about CL want to appraise my pair?
The Roo, Prince is w/ my entire layer flock atm, & the 10/12 eggs were clears but 10/15 are growing!
So there is 1 , yes 1 from "Victoria" the CL pullet pictured so I'm hoping for my 1st pure CL chick *on my birthday* woohoo.
But is this pair has major DQ or faults pls tell me now, I'd rather know it than not...

Foreground is SFH pullet "Flo"
facing away are the CL pair "Prince" & "Victoria"

Notice a Bourbon Sister wondering why all the chickens are in her pen where she exploded (molted) recently.

Front left is CL pullet Victoria again, better view of her body:

This is Prince (& SFH pullet Flo) in natural sunlight (the Turkey pen pics above are all using flash)

I have 2 trios of SFH for sale if anyone is interested... pics can be seen in my flock folder or over on the SFH thread.

I had to look up the SFH birds those are pretty!!

I had some for a little while......I didn't find them to be hearty so I sold them all.

I hatched 7 out of shipped eggs and they seem very hardy to me. Friendly, inquisitive, and very entertaining. I hate parting with them, but with hubbys lay off cannot afford to winter them.

I loved mine as well but they can be iffy The gene pool is still small. Mine did very well and then bam my roo . My hens and all the chicks I've had did pretty well.
I still have other breeds of birds for sale!

I am going to let 4 of my Birchen Marans go too! The egg color is outstanding but the girls have a bit of a brownish cast to their under fluff.
$30.00 each or all for $100.00
