Gentry, looks like a nice Cochin pullet. I raise Cochin. Should have feathers on all forward pointing toes and yellow foot color.


Thanks! I will check the feathers in the morning. I do know that she has yellow on the UNDERSIDE of her feet and the tops are really dark (black?). She has a single comb and virtually no butt. Are Cochins normally late maturing, like a Brahma? She is smaller than my other chicks, but a tad bit larger than my Brahma chicks of the same age.

The males in particular are later feathering in completely. Some hatchery Cochins do not have the full tails. Trying to give you a variety of photos of what Cochin should look like. Also. Many breeds have some Cochin genetics...brahmas do.

No but I own silkies and looked on the ASBA and they said nothing about it. Check with your breed assocation and see what they say. If you find anything let me know!

Anyone local have experience with fixing slipped tendon in chick? I have a 5 day old that is pretty bad and I can't seem to do anything for her
