I told everyone I'd keep them updated on the Emu eggs and totally forgot

They've been in the incubator for about 5 days now, and my hubby is on his way to the PO to pick up 4 more (had an empty 'bator, so of course I need to put something in there). Here are the 1st 4

Anyone in the Smyrna/Murfreesboro area with really pretty "blue" eggs?
We're looking to add color to the egg basket.
We'd really like to find a few Ameraucanas that come from a nice blue egg or maybe eggs themselves (we can incubate).
The ones we've found so far could possibly be show quality birds but the egg color doesn't seem to be very blue.
Just wanting to know what's out there.

'Course if anyone has any "bantam" Emus with color like HowFuncky's eggs above we'd REALLY like to have some of those!
Those are fabulous eggs!!!

I have Lav/Black Split Ameraucanas I'm working on, hens egg color isn't as good as I want, but their pullets that just started laying are coming out much better... most are laying very pretty blue...

Also have Cream Legbars that lay a nice blue, just 1 hen lays greenish...

Eggs are currently spoken for, but I have a large set to hatch out at Easter...

I have had good hatches from Papa Brooder.... and he has had good hatches with mine. Shipped eggs are just a huge gamble but we do it because we perceive that we are getting a bargain but really chicks are a better deal but a bigger investment.

I recently ordered true Ameraucana eggs from NH, after 4 days in transit and being incorrectly routed through Memphis first and then Nashville I was able to hatch 9 healthy chicks out of those 12 eggs. My Brinsea and I were determined! So many factors come into play. Don't give up hope :)

I'm in Murfreesboro and have BBS ameraucanas. I've been working on egg color and they are a decent blue. They aren't all laying yet so it would be a bit before I could get you eggs.
