Raven1- one of the best anticipated shows of the year!!!!
I am trying to work out transportation for birds to come back or if I need to plan on going and taking out a loan....I will so bring back more than I should.
A loan to go to Crossroads..I love that very bad idea
The mystery to the dieing kittens has been found...my cats were all tested for leukemia a week before Miss Kitty went outside and found the neighborhood Tom...Our cats don't normally go outside by their protests so never thought about that as being what was wrong...the girl kitten tested positive and with that and her fractured leg we opted to put her to sleep which may have fractured because of it.Miss Kitty tested negative again but they are going to re-test her again in a few weeks..our other cats also retested negative today. We took the one last male kitten since we had all the others with us and he tested negative but will need to be re-tested if he lives.Right now he's doing great and may not get any symptoms-hopefully.
My neighbors don't feed cats worm cats anything and their cats do great.Mine are friends with my vet and come across one of those cats and this happens
The kids are fine..they know the big cats will be fine.Even if Miss Kitty turns out to be a carrier she's past the critical age so it won't hurt her. She's the most upset of all. The kids know how hard it is to keep baby animals alive-mother nature's cruel ways to keep things under control. Now,if I knew who owned this Tom cat hanging around our horse barn
Now,my express mail chicks that were in St Louis last night are still in St Louis today...I could have gone and got them faster than this
Maybe I just need to crawl back in bed pull the blankets up and hide rest of the day
This is the (dirty!) remote thermometer to my "big hen" coop. . . . and that coop has an electric fan drawing out the ceiling heat.
The hottest any of my coops has ever gotten was 103. Needless to say, no one is inside it! Just passed around frozen cantaloupe and refilled ice trays out in the pens . . . hope you all are staying cool. It is really brutal out there today.
Is anyone interested in bantam leghorn eggs? They are from Corwin Witts line! My hubby picked up 6 hens and a cock bird from the Newport show back in the spring. I do know the brother of my cock placed well but I do not show these birds due to time restrictions, I only show my silkies and showgirls. I would like to get 15.00 for the dozen I currently have plus what is laid today and tomorrow. I have been getting 3 to 4 eggs daily and feeding them to the Showgirls but why not offer them up.
My little rooster. His tail is uaually much more full but he survived a dog attack (the dog grabbed him by the tail feathers and he lost several and broke more).
One of the hens
These guys are dirty as they free range in my yard but are very sweet.
My flock is NPIP tested.
I hope everyone survived the heat yesterday. Man it was hot. Lori see you at 4.
