Ummmm... why is it that all of y'all are hatching out babies and we have only seen one picture? That is against the rules. We need cute chick pictures from you all pronto. Get on it!!!
Pic later I promise... 28 out 3 not pipped. Out of 6 barred rocks 5 count them 5 are pullets!!!!! I think. They all have very dark legs and no spots
but one has a scattered spot and light legs. Maybe that is a sign of the rest too.
They are too cute! I hope I can figure out what they are. Connie the two lav spits are the cutiest of all! That little beard muff thing on the fuzzy little things. I know pics!!!
Donna-all BR have head spots the roos will look like a gray blue color..lighter than the pullets and the head dot is more smudged looking than the pullets
I have my bators off..the last trip to get feed only confirmed that the bators will be staying off most of the winter...prices will only be going higher as the winter goes on.Plus, some empty space is nice..who knows what may come home from Crossroads
We sold every one of the extra chicks roosters and laying hens that I had for sale...still working on possibly thinning down the amount of flocks though.
I don't have any baby chick pics so this will just have to do.She is ready for a new home with a few of her other friends.

Looking forward to the pics. You have a bunch of little chicks!
I've decided that a mille fleur anything is what I want next. This morning I saw a photo of a mille fleur cochin - LOVE the colors. Anybody here raise mille fleurs? Now I've got to research that color and find out what breeds are mille fleur - and how that color/pattern is achieved.
I raise Mille Fleur Bantam Cochin's but right now I'm not selling any more until this last bunch gets a bit older. They are the only one's I will be hatching all winter this year

I don't have any bantams, and would rather get a full sized bird. I'll bet your bantams are gorgeous, though! Cochins have the feathered feet, don't they?
They do...you won't find Mille in LF other than the Jubilee Orpington and those will set you back a few hundred a bird. The new Sweedish Flower is close but still not a MF and they are just as pricy. There are a few LF Cochin breeders working on it but they are still behind the bantam for color. If your going to get Mille you will have to think small is cute
Edited since I forgot about Mille Fleur Leghorns..we used to raise them but they are as small even though considered LF and a real disappointment in the laying department..tiny eggs so we quickly sold them.
