Got everyone moved to the breeding pens AND sold 4 Marans Roos and a Hen that didn't lay well... she had soft shell eggs and blood in her eggs so I couldn't sell her eggs so she needed to go. They will all be dinner by tomorrow. Next time they will come and process at the farm and show us. We saw Phillip process, but still have not done it ourselves.

While we are busy moving everyone, my EE roo decided to try to take the comb off of one of my Leghorn pullets

like I needed to worry about bloody chickens today

She will get cleaned up and put with another roo tomorrow. She should be fine, no real damage.

Hey Coun try! Sitting here watching all the emergency vehicles! There was a fatality wreck just up the street from us. 2 ambulances,firetruck,proably 10 police veh. half a dozen other emergency veh.! Lifeflight came over and circled but then left,apparently because they sent them away because it turned into a fatality! I can see a bunch of flashing lights from the window in front of me. Had to go and flag a car down to figure out what it was all about!

I love my leggy. She is a good forager. I used to think they was flighty and agressive but have grown to like them better. Im picking up some Silver laced Wyandottes tomorrow. Purebred! Thanks to KandiandJerry.

We may have to trade some roos over the summer or fall or eggs... or both
