Thanks for the info on the buffs. Thanks and in a big way to Donna, I came home with a blue marans pullet, a wyendotte pullet ,a ee pullet & a dozen eggs to boot . Folks you couldn't ask for a nicer person to deal with than Donna.

she's tops in my book. Now I just need to finish my dern coop.

Enjoy the eggs.... I will have more tomorrow.... if they lay....Egg production is going to be down this week a little with the weather.

The lady said they told her that was the last one.... If anyone finds out different let me know.... I set eggs for the next sale in June, they are not having now

Becky did a little research on the Exchequer thing.... seems that WL will sometime carry the recessive genes for the mottle pattern.... mine may. My WL x Ameraucanas have black leakage. They should be 100% white if they are dominate white. The exchequers are dominate white with the mottling genes so this might work in 2 generations. You want chicks right off? I was thinking of keeping only the pullets (only 1/2 will have the gene) and breeding them back to daddy to get exchequers and splits.... what do you think? I am going to use my best layers for this. BIG EGGS and EVERYDAY!

That pullet I put with him is going to be tired! LOL... single matings for now. Next gen he will have all the pullets he wants

Yeah.... for a little while anyway

Lets see, we will need about 30 pullets maybe, since only 1/2 will have the genes we need.... and half of what I hatch will be roos so that is 60 chicks and only half will hatch so that is 120 eggs.... she will be busy for a little while anyway.

I can only spare 1 GOOD pullet for this.
