The Middle Tennessee Thread

Did you ever find any silkies? I found an ad that was posted today on lsn (says they are located in Murfreesboro) for some hatching eggs they have a few different colors starting at $5.00 a dozen you could probably contact them and see if they have any chicks....if they don't they may have sold previously to someone that does.......they post ads all of the time....the number is: 262-391-9216 or they have a website www.grumpygoats.weebly.com Hope this helps....Thanks, Kandi
What is LSN?

Actually it stands for Local Sales Network.....lsn.com It's like Craigslist....they have everything Craigslist has... some of it's east Tennessee but alot of it is Middle Tennessee....they also have just as much or more than Craigslist.....

Does anyone need a paint silkie roo? I hatched him from Catdance Silkies eggs. She is 'kelar' here on BYC. Will take a couple bags of Flock Raiser for him or cash (it goes with everything

).

eta: he is about 2 mos and will put up a pic this evening. Good feathering and body shape.

I also have 1 dozen of my silkies eggs which should all hatch white. They are in together but all the roos but one is white and I don't think the blue roo is high enough on the totem pole to be allowed near any of the hens. Same deal- a bag of feed or cash- can always use chick starter or 12% sweet feed.

Hey, Lori!
Is Emma still collecting eggs for me? I would love to hook up with you and get those. I'm getting ready to fire up the bator again now that all the chicks are outside.
Do you want any of these boys? They are getting close to eating size. I HAVE to get them out of that pen. The big galumpin' idiots are picking on the babies. Arg. Stupid boys.

Is anyone having a hard time getting through to the fella in Smyrna with the free crates? I've been calling for HOURS today trying to schedule a pick-up, but keep getting voicemail. He still had a bunch yesterday when I called (and told him I'd call back today to set-up a time)...just bumming me out!

Just wanted to share what we found in the nest boxes this afternoon, eat 2 eggs and had another one in its mouth but spit that and most of the others out. Its head was not that triangular when my hubby was holding it..... don't tell me it is a copper head..... it was really not that pretty in person. was about 4.5 ft long!

NOT a copperhead, markings are not right.

It liked the water we put it in a 1/4 mile from the chicken coops.
