The Middle Tennessee Thread

Donna, I've got three of the black/lav split roos that came from your eggs. They will be strapping lads when grown. They are already pretty big and they are gorgeous. If no one wants them they will end up as dinner.

Anyone want a pet quality silkie roo? The two buffs I hatched from CJ's eggs both ended up being male. They are stunning shape, but both have single combs. Arg. Both are super sweet though and really nosy. :) If no one here wants them I'll try to Craigslist them.

I have had the worst hatching luck this year from eggs I have traded for or bought. It stinks. :(

Donna I also have the rocks you sold me. 1 blue , 1 blue barred with what looks like a wheaten leakage. Roughly 18 weeks. Both are good size in my estimate. If she's not interested they'll become just what their names say " Dinner & Lunch ". 5 or 10 bucks to offset feed cost sounds good to me also.

I'll be there on Friday...hoping the "Happy Chickens Brood in the Backyard" shirt I ordered gets here in time to wear it to the fair! Woohoo!

Also, random question: is anyone selling adult peacocks here in Middle Tennessee? There's a fella here in Columbia trying to hunt some up for an antebellum house he purchased...

Hi Middle TN chicken fans. Been a backyard chickens.com web fan for some time. But, just joined the forum. I have a 13 week old Rhode Island Red that needs a new home. I will drive him to you. My city flock can't keep him. And we only recently figured out he was male. I think we were in denial. He is wonderful. Will be missed. Thanks.

Welcome Lyn.....nice to have you, you'll enjoy this forum.
