Chad what is in your avatar? Is it a barney or blue copper marans? I would buy bcm and maybe a few orps.

Anybody raise sebastopols? I am close to Dunlap, and I have a smoothbreast splash gander looking for a flock. I don't have enough curly girls to be able to use him. 2012 hatch. PM me if needed for some reason my subscriptions don't work and I never get notified.

So I gained more respect for Meyer Hatchery today..

Got my 2013 catalog( I just get them all because they are free, and can show someone breeds)
And I noticed their pictures... They are not of show quality birds that are most likely not in their lines, or anything of the sort. they are not great looking birds, or even near the standard on most, but they are Just birds that you would most likely get. Unlike other hatcheries who give people false hope by having pics of show birds or something..

I respect that.

Carol..... I have been telling your GFF story and it seems that GFF has CHANGED the color of the eggs to TINTED not brown LOL

Until this Rhodebar debacle, I had heard so many good things about GFF - so I was really surprised at their attitude. I would never buy anything else from them. And yes, they changed the description of the eggs on their website.

Donna, Yea, Their Ams are expensive. CRAZY.... And they took out their Marans, they only have Cuckoo now.


And on the GFF thing...I find ridiculous.. they expect to CHANGE the breed, and still charge arms and legs..
Their Chocolate Wyandottes are 400 a CHICK... mine was 40 bucks LOL
